Filter inserts
Filter inserts or filter baskets are used for solid-liquid filtration. This technology follows the same basic principle as bag filters, which are generally used with textile materials.
Filter inserts from GKD employ stainless steel meshes for this application. The basic elements can be produced from strong wire mesh or perforated plate. The fine filter screens are selected based on process requirements and integrated into the basic elements as mesh bodies. The filter screens in these filter baskets are generally regenerable. If they get clogged or damaged, the basic element can be retained and the filter medium simply replaced.
Special applications are implemented using inherently stable mesh laminates (GEKUPLATE). These designs can be individually adapted to process-based and mechanical requirements.
