Filter belt: Integrated wear indicator for process safety

Kindly note that we are a certified essential service during the COVID-19 lockdown, please view our certificate for more information.

In mechanical sewage sludge dewatering, the Type 1003 filter belt from GKD – GEBR. KUFFERATH AG is synonymous with efficient dewatering. Now the process belt expert offers this globally established belt type with integrated wear indicator as standard. This means that the belts now possess a reliable indicator of mechanical wear.
Waste water and sludge from the process industry place strict requirements on the mechanical, thermal, and chemical robustness of the process belts used for their dewatering. As a proven allrounder in process water treatment in the chemical industry, paper industry, or pectin production, belt type 1003 impresses with its extraordinary transverse stability and particularly flat, robust PAD seam. What is more, the filter belt developed by GKD with leading engineering companies is unbeaten in terms of dewatering performance and particle retention. The integrated wear indicator is another USP for the filter belt. The contrasting-colored core in the woven polyester monofilament provides an early visible indication of the degree of process-based wear or incorrect belt adjustments after loading the belt. As such, this inbuilt early warning system ensures great planning reliability in daily use, as the customer can take the measures necessary to avoid stoppages with expensive production downtime in good time. Damage to the belt is prevented and belt replacements can be scheduled. GKD offers this visible belt safety as standard and at no extra cost.
